Island Rain Soap Company began in 2003 as a hobby. My wife and I would occasionally stay in a historic hotel where the staff would place a few glycerin soaps in each room. The soaps came in translucent green, yellow and pink, each with their own distinct scent. I thought they were unique, and purchased a few from the hotel gift shop for family and friends.
Later, I learned that glycerin soaps were much healthier for your skin than commercial soaps, which are mostly detergent. I began making glycerin soaps at home and gave them away as gifts.
Today, I sell to many return customers, as well as several local gift shops. The time is right to have a website.
